Sydney Whidden is the passionate creator and heart behind Delightful Planning. After years of experience in the industry, and recently becoming a bride herself, she decided to start Delightful Planning to help couples experience the wedding of their dreams. She knows from first-hand experience how stressful the entire process can be and she believes that everybody deserves an amazing wedding.
Born and raised in South Florida, Sydney attended Florida Gulf Coast University, where she studied hospitality with a concentration in event management and entrepreneurship. She went on to receive her MBA in project management from Capella University. In addition to working in the wedding industry for years, Sydney has also assisted with corporate events and held a wide variety of management roles. Not unlike planning a wedding, many of these positions were high-stakes and required her to fit many small pieces of one puzzle together. While not everyone thrives under this kind of pressure and stress, Sydney loves the challenge of staying organized and attending to details. Through these experiences and her industry knowledge, she has developed a repertoire of tips and tricks for successfully planning a wedding. Sydney lays out the steps in the wedding-planning process, walking alongside couples on their journey to a beautiful wedding.
Sydney is the author of the Amazon Best Seller, “Your Day Your Way” In her book, she provides couples with an overview of the wedding planning processes and introduces them to things they may not know as they enter this newly engaged season. The book focuses on some reg flags and obstacles to avoid to ensure that couples are planning their perfect wedding without losing sight of what really matters.

Sydney and her guests dive into all things wedding planning and provide couples with tips, tricks, advice, industry secrets, and occasionally just some silly entertainment to get everyone through the wedding planning journey!
On a personal note, Sydney was a recent bride herself! You can catch her and her husband enjoying a boat day at the sandbar, loving on her three kitties and two bunnies, and definitely cheering on the Florida Gators and Florida Panthers!
