Hi, I’m Sydney Whidden!

Hello, my name is Sydney Whidden and I'm a wedding coach and entrepreneur. One of the most important things I tell all of my couples is that they need to know, like, and trust their vendors - and that includes me! So, let's take some time to get to know each other better.

Originally from South Florida, I attended Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL, where my love for weddings first took root. While enjoying an Einstein Bagels snack with a friend who was newly engaged, I found myself brainstorming ideas for her big day and offering advice on details she hadn't even considered. Her response, "you should be a wedding planner!", struck a chord, and the rest is history.

I already had experience working in corporate events doing setup, check-in, and break down. From there, I gained experience working with a wedding planner, and later landed a job at a country club hosting events, all while studying Hospitality with a concentration in event management and Entrepreneurship at FGCU.

However, I eventually took a step back from the wedding and events industry to work in sales and customer service while pursuing my MBA. I earned my Master's Degree in Project Management from Capella University and worked as a Project Manager, but my passion for wedding planning never faded.

As someone who loves organization and logistics, I enjoyed planning my wedding and keeping all the details in order. My experience in Project Management was essentially the same concept as wedding planning - figuring out all the little details that make the big day run smoothly. My wedding day was an absolute blast, and even my family members and vendors remarked on how organized and calm I was throughout the day.

However, I've also been to weddings where the bride was in tears for all the wrong reasons, and it made me realize how overwhelming the wedding planning process can be for those without experience or resources. That's why I decided to start my own company and create the Your Day Program, which provides couples with a step-by-step guide to planning their dream wedding without breaking the bank.

In addition to my work in the wedding industry, I enjoy spending time on the boat with my husband and our pets, playing guitar, and rooting for the Florida Gators and Florida Panthers on game days. If you're looking for help planning your big day, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions and check out the Your Day Program.
